Boomtown employees chipped in to help out Kaboom! in building a playground. After Katrina destroyed schools and community play areas, Kaboom!, a national organization that donates equipment and experts, called on local business to send volunteers to help rebuild the playgrounds. Boomtown is forming a team now to send out in April.

In November, Boomtown held its bi-annual blood drive open to employees and guests. Dena Jones, EDR supervisor, sports the New Orleans Saints style t-shirt given to donors by the Blood Center.

Red comes in all shades and on National Wear Red Day, February 1, 2008. Boomtown’s administrative staff from accounting, human resources, purchasing, payroll, food & beverage and G&A banded together to show their support for women's heart disease awareness.

On January 21, Boomtown joined in the celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with their new parade float and a few very willing volunteers!
